The 3rd release of our Rosé of Grenache, the 2022 Roesé again hails from Rolph Family Vineyard in the Adelaida District of West Paso. The Roesé is named for owners Tracie and Mike Roesbery, who first dreamed of this winery all the way back in 2014. We spell Roesé special with an extra sneaky E which is added to resemble the Roesbery's last name. The label for our Roesè consists of five small Kintsugi pieces, each representing a member of the Roesbery family - each unique but perfectly complimentary to the others.
White lilac and pithy white peach introduce a fresh and floral nose along with a gravel minerality that reams the senses. An effusive nose with somewhat understated characteristics, ranging from sweet tea and lemonade to flint and slate with a more expressive background of citronella, golden raspberry, and gooseberry. A tart entry of kumquat and sweet lychee carries a bright and stinging acidity into a palate of pineapple juice, peach custard, and tangerine, a lovely balance of sharp and sweet. The acidity persists into a short and fresh finish of orange peel and lime.
